From April through to the end of May the Grimsby freestyle kickboxing club have been busy raising donations for the British heart foundation by taking part in various events and have managed to acquire a grand total of £1,365!

Senior instructor John Tomlinson and Lucy Bavin scaled the heights of the Himalayan mountain range in Nepal and topped off the adventure at mount Everest base camp to help their cause of the British heart foundation. Daniel Thickett and Dave Moorhouse tackled the London marathon as their event and managed to run the event in under 4 hours each! Daniels charity was also Kidney research and Dave’s donations went to the Anthony Nolan trust.

The club also held a race night at the Spiders web on Carr Lane which was a fantastic evening with so many students, parents and friends supporting not only the charities but the club also! A big well done to everyone who took part in the events and a massive thank you to everyone who donated towards the charities!
