SATURDAY 11TH DECEMBER ANNUAL STUDENT AWARDS PRESENTATION NIGHT!

It seems like it was 5 minutes ago since we held the last student awards presentation night and here we are again giving out awards for students, instructors, volunteers and anyone else who has excelled through the year! Held within the new planet cafe situated in the oasis health club it was clear to see that these social events are very important and well liked by everyone at the GFKC as we were packed in like sardines due to the amount of people who turned up…..next year will have to be a bigger venue! The food which was put on by the cafe was outstanding and yet again was devoured within half an hour! 2010 has been another fantastic year for the Grimsby freestyle kickboxing club and we have achieved so much. Below is a quick breakdown of what the GFKC has done over the 12 months….

*177 ACTIVE STUDENTS TRAINING WITHIN JUNIOR & ADULT CLASSES*
*RE-DECORATED GYM WITH THE ADDITION OF A COFFEE MACHINE & FRIDGE*
*4 NEW CLASSES TO FILL THE NEEDS OF CERTAIN STUDENT GROUPS*
*14 TOURNAMENTS WITH 45 WINS*
*EVER INCREASING INVOLVEMENT AND PROGRESSION WITH THE NHS BOXFIT PROGRAMME*
*2 FANTASTIC INTER-CLUB TOURNAMENTS HELD AT THE GFKC*
*7 CHARITY EVENTS RAISING A TOTAL OF £5,050 FOR THE BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION*
*2 VERY SUCESSFUL BOOT CAMPS FOR THE JUNIORS INCLUDING THE HEALTHY EATING CAMPAIGN*
*4 VERY TOUGH GRADINGS FOR BOTH JUNIORS & ADULTS WITH NEW TIMES AND DAYS*
*ADDITION OF THE JUNIOR BOXING RING*
*INCREASED PROGRESSION WITHIN THE NORTH EAST LINCS SCHOOLS*
